Hello! My name is Hannah, and I am the creator of Curio Designs. Welcome to my page! Each piece of jewelry you see on this site is made by me, here in Bozeman, MT. Learn more about my process below!
Handpicked, Handpressed, Handpoured
Those that know me know that I have a serious flower obsession. Every spring I get beyond excited to get out on the trails to see the endless display of colors painting the hills around me. Peak flower season in Montana is short lived, so I wanted to find a way to preserve & enjoy this beauty year-round. So, I began making my Flora jewelry!
Throughout the summer, I spend quite a bit of time picking flowers, leaves, and petals curing various outdoor adventures and at a local flower field. Upon returning home, begins the delicate art of pressing. Each bloom and leaf is carefully arranged and pressed, a process that takes around two weeks. This meticulous technique ensures that the flowers retain their vivid colors. Once pressed, they are ready to be transformed into wearable art! I then hand pour resin over each flower inside various open backed bezels to make the earrings you see here!
Because I handpick each of these flowers, there is a limited quantity of each style of earrings I make. Each pair is made with a lot of passion and time. I hope that every time you wear these earrings you are taken back to a beautiful moment in nature.
FAQs
-
1) Store Properly: When not in use, store your resin jewelry in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Sunlight and heat can cause the resin to become discolored or warped.
2) Clean Gently: To clean resin jewelry, simply wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scrubbing vigorously, as this can scratch the surface of the resin.
3) Avoid Extreme Temperatures: Resin jewelry should not be exposed to extreme temperatures, such as hot water or freezing temperatures. Rapid changes in temperature can cause the resin to crack or become brittle.
5) Handle with Care: While resin is durable, it can still be scratched or chipped if handled roughly. Be mindful when wearing and storing your resin jewelry to avoid unnecessary damage.
